Scott Norris succeeded Arnold Hitchcock as President of the Perry Foundation at the AGM held on the 4th December, 2009. Looking back over his Presidency since 1998, Arnold said that he was proud of the support that the Foundation had provided through Research Awards, Post Graduate Scholarships and other ad hoc payments, often through difficult and turbulent times in both the agricultural and financial sectors. Responding, Scott thanked Arnold for his wise and productive leadership and said that he was looking forward to guiding the Foundation through a period where the need for secure home food production was now politically important.
Also at the 2009 AGM, Prof Graham Jellis was elected to the Council of Management and the Grants Committee.
